 On January 26, Sun Meijun, Minister of the General Administration of Customs of China (GACC), met with Assel Zhanassova, Deputy Head of the Kazakhstan President’s Executive Office, at the GACC headquarters. The two sides exchanged views on implementing the strategic consensus reached by the two heads of state, and reached positive understandings on enhancing cooperation in smart customs, facilitating cross-border trade, inspection and quarantine, and ensuring smooth and efficient customs clearance at ports. Zhang Baofeng, Vice Minister of the GACC, Nurlan Yermekbayev, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to China, and heads of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Transport, Ministry of Industry and Construction, and Ministry of Agriculture attended the meeting.
