
From April 20 to 30, Lyu Weihong , Head of the Department of Political Affairs and CPC Committee Member of the General Administration of Customs of China , led a delegation to visit relevant agencies in Brazil, Cuba, and Spain.
During the visit, Director Lyu Weihong paid a courtesy call upon invitation to Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz. She held in-depth exchanges with heads of customs and agricultural agencies from the three countries on topics including upholding the multilateral trading system, "Belt and Road" food safety cooperation, "Smart Customs" development, Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) mutual recognition, anti-smuggling enforcement collaboration, capacity building, administrative mutual assistance and case investigation, as well as inter-agency cooperation. Additionally, she signed multiple customs inspection and quarantine cooperative documents with foreign counterparts, including Protocols on the Export of Agricultural and Food Products to China, Memoranda of Understanding on Capacity Building Cooperation, and Memoranda of Understanding on Electronic Certificate Cooperation. The delegation also conducted field investigations at agricultural and food export enterprises, cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and customs inspection and quarantine supervision sites in the three countries, and exchanged views with chief officers of our diplomatic missions abroad.
